This really reminded me of two books.

Impostor because of the switching lives thing. (It also shared a characters name - Madison.)

Legend because of the test, and how your score had an impact on your life. It was also pretty similar when something was found out about some peoples scores.

Just like Impostor, it had an annoying main character.
However, the main character in Impostor changed her ways... but Kitty stayed annoying.

All what Kitty done in the first 7% was moan. I was sick of her by 3%.
As the story progressed, she got slightly less whiny.
Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for how naive she was.
She still got shocked by things she should have seen coming, and she still believed things people said, without questioning it.

Overall, annoying main character, and dull.
