Almost By Anne Eliot

AlmostAlmost by Anne Eliot
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was an okay read, but I did find the first half of it to be pretty slow, which made it feel like it took ages to get interesting. The second half picked up, but up until then it dragged a bit unfortunately.

Overall, An okay read.

The characters in this weren't bad, But I didn't love them.

I can't say I loved the main characters in this.

I just couldn't get interested in this one unfortunately, so I felt bored for the majority of it. Due to that, I found it dragging quite a lot.

Overall, Not awful, but not a book for me.

Hollowland (The Hollows, #1) By Amanda Hocking

Hollowland (The Hollows, #1)Hollowland by Amanda Hocking
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the second time I've read this, but I really didn't like it as much as I did the first time.

Remmy annoyed me a lot throughout the book, and I wondered where her common sense was at points.

I really enjoyed this the first time (December 2012) but that may have been because at the time, I was new to zombie books. This time around I just found it dull, and at times, ridiculous.

Overall, Not a great reread.

I felt quite sorry for both Samantha and Mark in this. Mark was going through a lot, and Samantha went through life looking over her shoulder, which can't have been nice.

This was an okay read, but I found the pacing to be slow, so the story dragged at times.

Overall, An okay read.

This was another dull read in the red eye series for me unfortunately. I didn't find it very creepy, and It just couldn't hold my attention well at all. The majority of the book dragged for me because of it.

Overall, Not an enjoyable read for me unfortunately.

I think this one is my least favourite in the red eye series so far. I found a lot of it dull, and I just couldn't wait for it to be over.

There was one thing that I didn't see coming, but it didn't change what I thought of the book overall.

Son (The Giver Quartet, #4)Son by Lois Lowry

This one was better than the last two.

The pacing wasn't quite so slow, and the story wasn't as dull, so it was a bit more enjoyable than Gathering Blue and Messenger.

Overall, An okay read.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The change in main characters was a nice change at first, but after a bit they both annoyed me.

This was an okay read, but it felt rather long. All three books have had the same problem, and unfortunately, it causes them to drag for me.

Overall, A long, but okay read.

Come to Me Quietly (Closer to You, #1)Come to Me Quietly by A.L. Jackson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The characters in this were both okay, and it was clear to see how much they liked each other. I just wish they didn't take so long to act on it.

This was an okay read, but I found the pacing to be quite slow. The mystery behind Jareds torment kept me interested though, and when the romance actually started happening, I liked it.

Overall, An okay read.
