Ashes and Ice was quite a dull read up until about 80%.
I didn't get along with either of the main characters.
Jade changed a lot, one minute she'd be an okay character, the next, i didn't like her.
Connor was whiny. I hated school too, and i certainly wouldn't want to go back there, so i understand why he was moaning about it.
It get's boring and annoying very fast though, when that's all he does for the the majority of the first half.
There was a few parts that weren't completely boring, but it didn't get good until around 80%.
Though, by then, i just wanted the end to come, so it was more of "Ooh, only 20% left!" than a "Ooh, this is good!" feeling.
