In the After was a slow read, that got dragged out way too much.

The characters:



Amy was so stupid at the start.
She walked to the supermarket to do some shopping, like the apocalypse didn't happen. (But hey, at least there wasn't any ques.) She turned her lights on when all the other places were dark, and trusted people too easily.
There's also the time where she decided to adopt a toddler, at the age of 14.

It was pretty shocking when another person turned up alive, and was even more stupid than Amy.
Amber was told by Amy that they had to be quiet, because noise attracted the aliens... but she kept on talking loudly.
Then, when they ransacked a home, she started screaming because she found a designer bag.


The pacing in this was really slow, and didn't give any answers.
The end was the opposite. It was rushed, and all the answers came at once.

Overall, slow, dull, and had annoying characters.
