I had a hard time with Shadows, as it wasn't as great as Ashes, and the extra POV'S were confusing.
Monsters wasn't as bad as Shadows, but it still wasn't as great as the first installment.
I was really glad that Ellie was featured more in this one, I missed her.
She wasn't like the little girl in Ashes, but after everything that has happened, it wasn't a huge shock.
She turned into a really strong character, and i found myself liking her more.

The other characters and their problems were great, but i really loved seeing Ellie again.
I'm not sure what i really think of the ending, i can't make up my mind if i like it or not.
Overall, better than the second, but the first one is still the best.
