My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)

Monet was an okay character, and at times I felt sorry for her.

I didn't love the romance in this, but it wa alright.

There wasn't anything awfully wrong with this, but I did find the first half of the story to pretty dull. The other half improved, but it went from being dull to being a bit too predictable.

Overall, An okay read.

I felt so sorry for Sugar throughout this. The way her mum and brother treated her was absolutely horrible! I really don't know how her mother could put her down so much about her weight, when she was the one that could hardly move for the same reason. Talk about hypocritical!

There was a few parts in this that dragged a bit for me, but it was an okay read overall.

I felt sorry for Avicenna at points, but I didn't love her character.

This just couldn't keep my interest unfortunately. I started to feel bored a few chapters in, and it got worse as it progressed. I really struggled to get through it.

The ending was pretty annoying, but I'm just glad it's over!

(I received a copy from the author, In exchange for an honest review.)

I didn't love Ava, but she was an okay character. I did feel quite sorry for her at the start of this, as everything that happened on her birthday wasn't easy to deal with.

This did start out pretty slow, and there was quite a lot of information to take in all packed into one chapter, and I felt quite bogged down by it all. If it had been spread about a bit between a few chapters, it would have been better.
As for the rest of it, the pacing was a bit too slow for me, so at times it dragged in areas. Apart from that though, it was an okay read.

Overall, An okay elemental read.

Actual rating - 2.5

The characters in this weren't ones that I could warm to enough to like.

This wasn't an awful read, but I can't say I enjoyed it all that much. There were parts that annoyed me, and parts that dragged. Not really liking the characters didn't help either.
I was glad when I finished the book because of all that.

Overall, Not a very enjoyable read.

Need By Joelle Charbonneau

NeedNeed by Joelle Charbonneau
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(I received a copy from Edelweiss, In exchange for an honest review.)

I felt sorry for Kaylee in this. The one thing she wanted was so much more needed than everything else the teenagers were asking for, and the situation that led to her putting that request in was tough.

This was confusing at first, as there was loads of characters introduced who all "needed" different things. It did get easier remembering who wanted what as the stakes got higher though, which was a relief. It would have been very annoying if the whole book was that confusing!

This was an okay read, but the confusing start made it harder for me to get into the story, and at times I found the story to be a bit silly and unbelievable.

This ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and definately leaves it open for another book. I'm not sure if I'd read it if there was another one though.

Haunted Echoes By Emma Bloom

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)

I felt really sorry for Abby in this. Being bullied is awful, and it was made even worse by her mother keep asking her what she did to make them treat her that way every time something happened to her! She also had the added complication of hearing the voices, so the poor girl really didn't have a great time of it.

This was an okay read, but it took forever to really get going. It wasn't until 40% that something other than the bullying happened, so I started to lose interest a bit.
When things did start happening, there was still a few times where I felt a bit bored, but as it was a pretty quick read, it wasn't too bad.

Overall, An okay read, but had a slow first half.

The characters in this had changed a lot from what they were like in book one, and I didn't like either of them.

This one started out a lot slower than book one did, and I was quite bored because of it. After a bit, the action kicked in, so it wasn't quite so bad. I did still find it drag a few times, and it felt like a really long read, but this may have been because I read the books back to back.

Overall, An okay read.

Lexi was an okay character, but I didn't love her. There was a few times where she annoyed me slightly, but it was more down to just not being able to warm to her enough.

This started out feeling like a really quick read, but unfortunately, it ended up feeling the opposite after about 30%. It started to drag really badly, and I was glad when the book was over because of it.

Overall, Not a bad read, but I'm glad it's over.

Actual rating - 2.5

I felt sorry for April because of the situation she was in, but I didn't like her. She was really stupid most of the time, and quite annoying.
She was told not to contact anyone for obvious reasons, but done it anyway. She moaned when she had to cut her hair to disguise herself, and moaned about giving her phone up, claiming that she would die without it. There was plenty more stupid and annoying moments throughout the book, and by the end of it I was sick of her.

This wasn't an awful read, but it wasn't a very enjoyable one either. Apart from April being an idiot, there wasn't much going on, so I was bored through most of it.

I'm glad it's over.

I didn't like any of the characters in this unfortunately. They all drove me mad most of the time.

I just couldn't get interested in this one, so the majority of the story bored me. There was a couple of bits at the end that picked the story up a bit, but it wasn't enough to make me want to read book two.

Lena and Aubrey were completely different to each other, but I felt sorry for them both. The way Charlie betrayed them both, and made them find out the way they did was awful.
Charlie was a horrible character, and whenever I thought he couldn't get any worse, he did!

The pacing in this one was a little bit too slow at times, but it was still an interesting read. I really wanted to know how the Charlie situation was going to play out.

The ending to this was one massive cliffhanger, but it was really really good. It was definately the most interesting part of the book.

Overall, A decent read, with a massive cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more.

None of the characters in this were likable, and I didn't feel anything for them when they died.

I was quite bored of this one from the very start unfortunately, and it got worse as the story progressed.
I kept on thinking "when is someone going to get killed?" throughout the beginning, but when it did finally happen at 27%, I didn't find it to be worth the wait. It was rubbish, and so were the other deaths.

Overall, A boring read. I'm glad it's over.

I felt really sorry for Stella at the start of this. Having to face an operation that huge, that could either save your life or end it, would be absolutely awful.

This started out okay, even if there was a couple of odd moments. As the book progressed though, the odd moments got more frequent, which made it hard to understand what was going on. Those moments were explained later on in the book, and after that it was pretty good. While they were happening though, it was really confusing.

Overall, Okay read, but could be hard to follow at times.

I felt sorry for Nina at the start of this because of the situation she was in. She really tried to protect her sister from the worst of it, which was nice to see. I didn't love her character though, and as the story progressed, she annoyed me slightly.

This was pretty good at the start, but unfortunately, it went downhill. After around 30%, it really started to drag, and I was looking forward to finishing it because of it.

Overall, Strong start, but failed to keep it up.

Lark was an okay character again in this one, and I felt really sorry for her at one point.

Lark was an okay character in this, although I did think she was a bit naive at times. It was obvious what was happening regarding one of her friends, but she just wouldn't believe it. I just wanted her to open her eyes and see what was really happening.

This installment was better than the first. It didn't seem to drag quite as much, and the progress with finding out who her father was definately made things a bit more interesting.

Looking forward to how things pan out in book three.

I liked both Emmy and Oliver. I felt sorry for Oliver because of the posistion he was in. He spent most of his life missing one parent, and then went to missing another.

This was an okay read, which had an interesting storyline. I did have one complaint about it though, which was the pacing. It was too slow for me, and the book dragged in areas because of it.

Overall, An okay read.
