Zeroes (Zeroes, #1) By Scott Westerfeld

Zeroes (Zeroes, #1)Zeroes by Scott Westerfeld
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)

Actual rating - 2.5

There wasn't any characters in this that I loved, but a few of them were okay.

The storyline was okay, but the pacing ruined it for me unfortunately. It felt like things were moving at snails pace, and the book felt like it would never end because of it.

Overall, Not an awful read, but it felt rather long.

(I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)

I didn't get along with the main character at all. She annoyed me for the majority of it, and was a bit of a psychopath!

This wasn't a read I enjoyed unfortunately. There was loads of info dumps, which made the story feel never ending, and lost my interest quickly. Not liking the main character really didn't help things either.

Overall, Not a book for me.

I didn't love the main character in this, but I did feel quite sorry for her throughout the book.

This wasn't a bad read, but the pacing was a bit slow for me, which made it feel longer than it was.

The characters in this were okay, but I didn't love any of them.

This wasn't a bad read, but the pacing was so slow that the story really dragged for me. By the time I got halfway through the book, it felt like I had read five hundred pages.
I kept hoping it would stop dragging, but it never really did unfortunately.

Overall, Okay storyline, but the pacing ruined it for me.

Bri and Sloane were both okay characters, but I didn't love either of them. They could both be quite naive at times, and could be a bit slow on the uptake.

I found this to be pretty slow for the majority of it. It wasn't a bad read, but it couldn't keep my interest well, and it didn't suck me in to the story.
The most enjoyable part of the book for me was the last 20%. It still didn't really suck me in, but it was pretty good.

Overall, An okay read.

Rune was an okay character, and at times, I felt quite sorry for her.

This was an enjoyable read, which kept my interest throughout. The pacing could be a little slow in areas, but it wasn't that bad, so it wasn't much of an issue.

I felt really sorry for Nairne in this. She went through quite a lot, and it seemed like she just couldn't catch a break!

This was an interesting read, and I enjoyed the majority of it. There was a few times where I started to lose interest slightly, but the story always managed to get it back after a bit thankfully.

Overall, A decent read.

Lacey had to deal with quite a lot in this, so I felt quite sorry for her.

This wasn't a bad read, but the pacing was really slow, which made the story drag for me.
I wasn't a fan of the romance side of the book, which only made the dragging worse unfortunately.

Overall, Not bad, but not sure if I'll be continuing with the series.

I can't say I really liked any of the characters in this. They could all be pretty annoying.

This just couldn't keep my interest unfortunately. I found the pacing to be quite slow, and the story to be dull. Due to that, and having no likable characters, the story dragged for me. I was glad when it was over.

Overall, A pretty dull read.

Ellie and Stacey continued to be likable characters. They're brave, work well together, and they can be pretty funny at times!

This was another enjoyable installment. It was interesting to see what was really going on at the hotel, and it was interesting to hear about the ghost's stories.

Looking forward to the next one!

The pacing in this could be quite slow, but the story didn't suffer too much because of it.

I did guess the twist, and I guessed it pretty early on, so it was a predictable read. It was still enjoyable though, I just wish it wasn't quite so obvious what was going to happen, after only reading a few chapters.

Overall, Predictable, but an enjoyable read.

I didn't enjoy this one at all unfortunately.

I couldn't get interested in it, and as the story progress, the boredom got worse. The book isn't really that long, but it felt like it because of how much the story dragged.

The only thing I like about it is the cover.

I felt really sorry for the characters in this. It can't be easy watching someone you love battling with schizophrenia, and it definitely wouldn't be easy being the person who had it.

I found this quite slow at the start, but it picked up in the second half, and I enjoyed it.

Overall, Slow start, but an interesting read.

I knew very early on that this was going to be a read that I wouldn't really enjoy. The beginning of it was annoying with the talk about the days of the week, and after that was over it turned weird and confusing.

The story felt very jumpy too, which only added to the confusion.

Overall, Not a read I enjoyed.

This wasn't a bad read, but I did find it dragging quite a bit, which made the book feel longer than it was.

This ended on a really big cliffhanger, so I'm interested in where the story will go from here.

Overall, Okay read, but dragged a bit.

I felt quite bored from the start of this unfortunately. I just couldn't get into it, and as the book progressed it seemed to drag more. I thought it could be quite jumpy in places as well, because of the way the POV's changed.

Overall, Not an awful read, but not one for me.

I felt so sorry for one of the characters in this. What he went through was absolutely awful. I just wanted to give him a massive hug!
