I can't say I really liked the characters in this.
I wasn't very far into this before I started to feel bored unfortunately, and that didn't change as the book progressed. It dragged quite badly for me in areas because of it, and felt really long. There were a couple of times where I thought I'd never finish it.
Overall, Not awful, but it dragged for me.
